Well Summer 2011 is off and kicking...spending more time with the boys make me realize how much I love their innocence and "youngness." This will not last much longer and it makes me really sad! Here are a few of the funny things that have come out of their mouth lately....some are rather shocking. ;)
Zachary is all into being lean and trim these days. He walks around talking about what exercises he can do to increase his muscle mass. So he asked me, "Mom, does fat go to heaven?" So I gave him the whole only our souls go to heaven until Jesus returns and then he might be blessed with the biggest muscles he's ever seen. Then he says, "Well why do people like to be fat?" Before I could answer...."Mom your legs are fat, so it won't go with you!"
Zachary is in Safety Town these few weeks, so Cody and I are having some quality time together! Friday we walked around Country Park and he found a rubber skeleton body, which started ALL sorts of conversations. We talked about where the guts were on a skeleton, why leg bones are big up top and not at the bottom....plus many more! We went and picked up Zachary and Cody was showing him his new treasure he found. Then it hit him...."if this is all the bones in your body where is his penis?" While I was gasping for the right answer..."Mom is your penis a muscle or a bone?" I was forced to go there! I told him it was a muscle. He then replied, "Mom that just doesn't seem right, it doesn't make sense." And then it was quiet....aaahhhh! Lordy, lordy please help me to be prepared for just the right answers at just the right time.
The pool has become our entertainment for the summer. We came home from the pool today and Cody was undressing in the laundry room as he came running out in a panic. "MOM, I'M TURNING BROWN. I don't want to be a brown person. I want to stay white. (Then he realized he was two different colors) Oh no, I'm gonna be 2 colors." First time the poor little thing realized your body tans. I encouraged him that it was perfectly fine to be brown and that some of his best friends were all different colors, but that he would stay white and it was called being tanned!
These little ones crack me up, stump me, and amaze me. I continue to thank God for His many blessings that He has taught me through them!!!
