We met some friends for dinner Saturday night and the talk was...Cooper's big day! Tomorrow Cooper would be dedicated at church. So, like many of my conversations the kids are having their own conversations and the adults are having theirs...and then...we get into the car and on the ride home the questions start.
Cody says, "Mom, what's a dedication?"
"Well, Cody it's when parents dedicate their child to God. They go before the church and God and promise to do everything they can to raise their child in a godly home and teach them about Jesus."
And then I hear Zachary starting to cry rather hard.
"Zachary, what's wrong?"
Zachary says, "Mom, why do they want to die him."
Cody spouts out..."Mom he thinks they are going to die him, we said dead-a-cation."
I didn't know wether to laugh or cry with Zachary. We took him the next morning into church and let him watch Cooper's dedication so that he would see his special very loved little buddy Cooper was perfectly fine!
